Reading this book is like having your own personal coach! I am a hypnotherapist, and I often work with struggling athletes. Along with practicing a sport physically, practicing and mastering the mental side of the game is vital. This book includes so many important principles for doing just that including focus, relaxation, breathing and visualizations. This book is packed with great information, and any baseball player from little league to professional would benefit greatly from the information in this valuable book. An enjoyable read. I highly recommend this book.
Bought for my son. Very helpful for his mental game.
Most people focus mainly on the physical aspects of sports. So much of becoming a better athlete is mental, though. David Ranney's approach is both refreshing and powerful. As a high school coach, I am always looking for ways to help my athletes improve at a faster rate. The techniques in the book make a lot of sense and I'm anxious to implement them in the upcoming season.
This book touches on some helpful concepts of the mental side of sport and provides tips on how to achieve an optimal frame of mind.
